[이블린 킴의 iBT writing] Essay <17>－ Step It Up ！

지난 호에 이어 Integrate Essay에 대해서 이야기해 보자.

높은 스코어를 받기 위해서는 시험 문제에 대해 자세히 알아야 하는 것이 기본이다.

읽기와 듣기 노트를 바탕으로 강의에서 들려 준 핵심 요점을 요약하여 쓰고 이것이 독해 지문에 언급된 요점을 어떻게 반박하는지 연계하여 설명한다.

답안은 약 150~225자로 작성한다.

먼저 토픽과 강의 주제를 쓰고 이것이 읽기 지문의 주제와 어떤 관점에서 다른지를 설명한다.

그 다음에는 강의의 하위 주제를 부연 설명과 함께 차례대로 기술한다.

강의의 각 하위 주제를 요약할 때는 이것이 읽기의 각 하위 주제를 어떻게 반박하는지 밝혀 준다.

답안을 작성할 때는 노트 내용을 바탕으로 지문에 쓰인 표현이나 문장을 그대로 쓰지 말고 paraphrase(바꾸어 쓰기)한다.

지문 내용의 정확한 요약과 더불어 자신만의 표현으로 글을 작성하면 보다 높은 점수를 받을 수 있다.

질문은 듣기가 끝난 후 화면과 음성으로 제시되며 답안은 20분간 작성한다.
