[비즈니스 유머] 깜짝 파티

In honor of my brother's retirement from the police， my sister－in－law decided to throw a surprise party for him.

Plans made in secrecy included catering and entertaining as well as travel accommodations for over 100 friends and relatives from around the country.

At the party， my brother stood up to address his guests.

As he looked around the room at everyone who had secretly gathered on his behalf， he shook his head and said，

"After 25 years on the police force， I finally know why I never made detective."


경찰관으로 있던 형의 은퇴를 기념해 형수는 깜짝파티를 마련하기로 했다. 두 달 동안 비밀리에 진행된 그 계획엔 100명도 더 되는 친척친지를 불러다가 음식을 대접하며 즐거운 시간을 갖게 하는 것과 함께 곳곳에서 찾아올 그들의 여행과 숙박을 배려하는 일까지 포함됐다.

파티가 열리자 형은 일어서서 손님들에게 인사말을 했다. 그를 위해 몰래 그 자리에 모여든 사람들을 하나하나 챙겨 보면서 그는 고개를 저었다.

"경찰에서 25년간 일하고 나서 이제야 겨우 내가 형사가 되지 못한 까닭을 알게 됐습니다. "
