After traveling for five hours on a bus across the back lands of Australia， our band was tired and hungry. When the driver was asked to recommend a restaurant， he replied that he knew the best spot in the area， where the food was superb.

Arriving there， we were surprised to see the restaurant was empty. The lone waitress took our order， while the bus driver disappeared. A bit worried， we elected one of us to peek into the kitchen. You guessed it; our bus driver was the cook.

호주의 오지를 버스로 다섯 시간이나 여행한 우리 일행은 피곤하고 배가 고팠다. 운전기사를 보고 어디 좋은 식당이 없느냐고 물으니 음식이 아주 좋은，그 일대에서 으뜸가는 곳을 안다는 것이었다.

그리로 가 보니 뜻밖에도 식당은 텅 비어 있었다. 단 한 사람뿐인 여종업원이 주문을 받았는데 그때 운전기사의 모습은 보이지 않았다. 좀 걱정스러웠던 우리 일행은 한 사람을 정해 주방 안을 엿보게 했다. 아니나 다를까 요리사는 우리의 운전기사였다.
