George woke up with an awful headache after a boozy night.

He rang the office and explained to the boss that he was too ill to
report for duty.

"That''s all right, George," said the boss soothingly, "go back to bed
and look after yourself."

When the boss hung up the phone, his assistant said, "You were very
soft with him."

"Was I? Wait until he finds out that this was his day off."

만취했다가 깨어난 조지는 머리가 지끈거렸다.

사무실에 전화를 걸어 상사에게 몸이 아주 불편해 출근할 수 없다고 했다.

"괜찮네. 잠자리에 들어 몸조리 잘 하게나"라며 상사는 싹싹하게 굴었다.

그가 수화기를 내려놓자 부하직원이 "아주 친절하게 해주시는군요"라고
했다.

"그랬던가? 오늘이 비번이라는 사실을 깨닫고나면 어쩌나 두고보게"
