The man who walked into the boutique said : "I want a pair of
stockings."

"Are they for your wife?"

the woman at the counter asked.

"Why do you need to know that?" the man wanted to know.

"Well," said the woman, "I''d like to be sure whether to show you
ordinary thing or something better."

부티크에 들어선 남자가 "스타킹 한켤레 주세요"라고 했다.

"부인께 드리실 건가요?"

카운터의 여자가 물었다.

"어째서 그걸 물으시는 거죠?"하고 남자는 반문했다.

"있잖아요, 보통 물건으로 보여드려야 하는 것인지 아니면 고급품으로
보여드려야 하는 것인지를 알아야 하거든요."
