A taxi streaking through the street late one night suddenly came
to a screeching stop.

"What''s the idea of stopping here?" asked the guy in the rear seat.

The cab driver said, "I thought I heard the gal say ''Stop!'' Didn''t
she?"

"Yes. But she wasn''t talking to you. Now keep going."

어느날 밤 늦게 거리를 질주하던 택시가 끽소리를 내며 급정거를 했다.

"왜 멈춰요?"하고 뒷좌석의 남자는 물었다.

"여자손님이 멈추라고 했던것 같은데, 아닌던가요?" 택시기사사 말했다.

"그러기는 했지만 당신을 보고 한 소리는 아니라구요. 그대로 가자구요"
