A week later the little boy was walking his puppies in front of the
White House again.

Reagan went to Nancy and said, "I think you ought to go out and ask
the little boy what kind of puppies those are. His answer''s cute."

Nancy went out and asked the question.

The boy replied, "Well, they''re Democratic puppies."

Surprised, Nancy said, "I thought they were Republican puppies."

"They were," the boy said, "until they opened their eyes."

1주일후 녀석은 다시 강아지들을 끌고 나와 백악관 앞에서 서성댔다.

레이건은 낸시에게로 가서 "저기 나가서 꼬마가 끌고온 강아지들이
어떤 종류냐고 물어봐요. 대답이 재미나다구요"라고 했다.

낸시는 나가서 그것을 물었다.

"있잖아요, 이건 민주당을 지지하는 강아지들이에요"라는 대답이었다.

뜻밖의 대답에 낸시는 "난 공화당을 지지하는 강아지들인줄 알았는데..."
라고 했다.

"그랬었죠. 눈을 뜨기 전까지는요"라고 소년은 말했다.
