[해외유머] '장모님의 충고'

The poor young newlyweds couldn''t afford a honeymoon, and they had
to spend their first weeks of marriage at the bride''s house.

The husband was extremely nervous as they were undressing, and got
his shoe laces all knotted.

Finally his bride, impatient and exasperated, cried out, "Oh, why
don''t you just take your knife and cut it?"

At once her mother''s voice came sailing over the transom, "No! No!
Don''t cut it! Use some spit."

가난뱅이 신혼부부는 신혼여행갈 형편이 못되어 첫주를 신부집에서
보내야 했다.

두사람이 옷을 벗으면서 신랑은 어찌나 훙분했던지 신발끈을 끄른다는
것이 그만 끄르기 어렵게 얽히게만 해버렸다.

신부는 참다못해 화가 나서 버럭 소리를 질렀다.

"칼로 자르면 되잖아요"

그러나 작은 창으로 장모님의 소리가 들렸다.

"아니다 얘야, 그건 자르는게 아니다. 침을 발라야 한다"
