[해외유머] '꼬마의 증언'

A young boy accompanied his father to a hotse auction.

He watched his father enter a small stall, bend down, and run has hands
up down the animal''s legs.

"What are you doing, Dad?" the boy asked.

"This is the way you decide whether or not to buy a horse," his father
replied.

The boy''s face grew serious.

"Gee, Dad, we better hurry home. The salesman stopped in yesterday,
and I think he wants to buy Mummy."

꼬마녀석은 아버지를 따라 말 경매장에 갔다.

녀석은 아버지가 간막이에 들어가서 몸을 굽히더니 손으로 말의 다리를
아래 위로 쓰다듬는 것을 지켜봤다.

"아빠, 뭐 해"하고 녀석은 물었다.

"이렇게 해서 말이 살만한 건지를 알아보는 거란다"라고 아버지가 대답했다.

녀석은 갑자기 정색을 했다.

"아이쿠, 아빠, 얼른 집에 가봐야해. 어제 장사꾼이 다녀갔는데 그 사람
엄마를 사가려는 건가봐"
