-It takes two tries to get up from the couch.

-When your idea of a night out is sitting on the patio.

-When all you want for your birthday is not be reminded of your age.

-When happy hour is a nap.

늙었다는 사실을 실감케 하는 것들:

-앉은 자리에서 단숨에 일어나지 못한다.

-야간 외출이라는 게 바깥 테라스에 나가 앉아있는 시간을 의미한다.

-휴가를 가면 돈보다도 체력이 먼저 떨어진다.

-어머니로부터 들을 때마다 그토록 짜증스럽던 바로 그 소리를 내 아이들에게 되뇐다.

-생일날에 바라는 것이 있다면 그저 내 나이를 되새기게 하는 일이 없었으면 하는 것이다.

-낮잠 자는 게 즐거운 시간이다.
