A plane full of retirees headed for Hawaii was gripped with fear when the pilot announced, "Two of our engines are on fire…"

The passengers were numb with fear， except for one, a retired minister．

"Now keep calm,"he said．

"Let’s all pray."

The group bowed their heads except one fellow in the back．

"Why aren‘t you bowing your head?" the minister asked．

"Well, I don’t know how to pray,"replied the passenger．

"Well, just do something religious!"said another passenger．

So the man got up and started down the aisle passing hat．


은퇴해서 하와이로 놀러가는 사람들을 잔뜩 태운 항공기는 "엔진 둘이 불타고 있습니다"라는 기장의 말로 공포의 도가니가 되어버렸다．

승객들이 모두 두려움으로 얼빠진 상태가 되자 은퇴한 목사가 나서서 "자아 진정을 하시고 함께 기도를 합시다"라고 했다．

뒤쪽에 있는 한 사람을 빼고는 모두가 고개를 숙였다．

"어째서 고개를 숙이지 않는 겁니까?"하고 목사는 그 사람에게 물었다．

"나는 기도할 줄 모릅니다"라고 그는 대답했다．

"그저 뭔가 종교적인 걸을 해봐요!"라고 다른 승객이 한마디 했다．

그러자 그는 일어나서 그의 모자를 들이대면서 통로를 걷기 시작했다．
