Prsident Coolidge once invited some down-home friends to breakfast at the White House.

Worried about potocol, they decided to do everything Coolidge did.

Things went smoothly until the coffee was served and Coolidge poured his into a saucer.

The guests followed suit.

Then he added sugar and cream.

The guests did likewise.

Then Coolidge leaned over and placed his on the floor--for the cat..

쿨리지 대통령이 시골 친지들을 백악관 조찬에 초대한 적이 있었다.

식사절차가 고민거리였던 촌사람들은 모든 것을 쿨리지가 하는대로 따라서 하기로 결정을 봤다.

일은 순탄하게 진행되었는데 커피가 나오자 문제가 생겼다.

대통령은 커피를 접시에 따른 것이다.

손님들도 따라서 했다.

이윽고 그는 설탕과 크림을 거기다 탔다.

손님들도 그렇게 했다.

그런데 대통령은 엎드리더니 그 접시를 바닥에 내려놓는 것이었다--고양이더러 먹으라고.
