In a murder trial, the defense attorney was cross-examining a coroner.

Attorney : "Before you signed the death certificate, had you taken a
pulse?"

Coroner : "No."

Attorney : "Did you listen to the heart?"

Coronor : "No."

Attorney : "So, when you signed the death certificate you weren''t even
sure the man was dead, were you?"

Coroner : "Well, the man''s brain was ina jar on my dest. But I guess
it''s possible he could be out there practicing law
somewhere."

살인사건 재판에서 변호사가 검시관을 반대심문했다.

변호사 : "사망증명서에 서명하기 전에 맥을 짚어봤던가요?"

검시관 : "아니오"

변호인 : "심장에 귀 기울여봤어요?"

검시관 : "아니오"

변호인 : "그러니까 그 사람이 죽었다는 걸 확인도 하지 않고 사망증명서에
서명한거로군요?"

검시관 : "그 사람의 두뇌는 내 책상 위 항아리에 들어있었습니다. 그렇지만
그 사람이 어딘가에서 변호사 노릇을 하고 있을 수도 있었겠다
싶네요"
