The man went into the dentist''s office to get a bad tooth pulled and
asked how long the procedure would take.

"Five minutes will do," said the dentist.

"The local lasts 10 minutes and you won''t feel anything."

"And how much is this costing again?" the man asked.

"190 dollars," the dentist said.

"Gosh," the man grumbled, "it''s not fair to hold a man captive for
five minutes and charge him 190 dollars!"

"Then for you, I''ll give you a special!" the dentist said.

"I''ll take 15 minutes to do the extraction."

이를 빼러간 사내는 시간이 얼마나 걸리느냐고 물었다.

"5분이면 됩니다. 국소마취가 10분간 듣는데 그동안은 아무 감각도 없어요"
라고 의사는 말했다.

"그럼 다시 묻겠는데 비용이 얼마라고 하셨죠?" 환자가 물었다.

"1백90달러요"라고 의사는 대답했다.

"아니 사람을 5분동안 잡아놓고 나서 1백90달러를 받아낸다는 건
너무하네요"라고 환자는 투덜댔다.

"그렇다면 특별 케이스로 봐 드려야겠군요! 작업시간을 15분으로
하겠습니다"
