An elderly playboy asked the madam of the sporting house if he might
be in the company of Nancy.

"Alas," she said, "Nancy is visiting her mother. Would you care to see
Kate?"

"No, thank you," said the old man.

"I''ll return another day. When do you expect her to be back?"

"Next week," said the madam.

"But can''t you enjoy it in the company of Grace? Or Liz?"

The old man shook his head.

Curious, the madam asked, "What does Nancy have that the other girls
do not?"

"Patience," he replied, "patience."
