"My son is going to be a dentist," said a Scotsman to his friend.

"Why, I thought your son was going to study to be an ear specialist,"
the friend said.

"But now he seems to have changed his mind," the father said.

"Why?"

"I left it very much to him," explained the father.

"I simply pointed out to him that people have thirty-two teeth and
only two ears."

한 스코틀랜드 사람이 그의 친구를 보고 말했다.

"아니 자네 아들은 귀를 다루는 전문의가 될 공부를 할거라더니만"

"그런데 이제 생각이 달라졌나봐"

아버지가 말했다.

"어째서?"

"난 녀석더러 알아서 하라고 했다네. 다만 사람들에겐 치아는 서른 두개나
있지만 귀는 둘 밖에 없다는 사실을 일깨워줬을 뿐이야"

아버지의 설명이었다.
