[비즈니스 유머] 주정뱅이 늙은이 - Old Drunkards

Two old drunkards were in the habit of coming to the bar twice a week to get drunk together. After years of this, one of them died. His old friend came in on Saturday and they told him his pal had died - that so much whiskey had been taken into his blood and saturated it that one night as he blew out the candle his breath caught fire and he was burned to death. The old man promptly called for a Bible and took an oath that from that time forward he would never blow out candle.

늙은 술꾼 둘이 한 주에 두 번씩 어김없이 만나 술을 진탕 마시곤 했다. 그렇게 여러 해가 지난 어느날 한 사람이 숨을 거뒀다. 토요일 술집에 나타난 노인에게 동료가 죽은 사실을 알렸다 - 알코올이 어찌나 많이 혈액에 섞였던지 어느날 밤 촛불을 끄려고 후 불었더니 입김의 알코올에 불이 번져 그만 타 죽었다는 것이다. 노인은 당장에 성경을 달라고 하더니 그 위에 손을 얹고 맹세하는 것이었다 - 앞으로 후 하고 불어서 촛불을 끄는 일은 절대로 않겠다고.
