A story about Moses that is not in the Bible.

Moses told the Lord that his people were sorrowing，unclothed and hungry，and he asked that they be made happy and contented. The Lord promised to correct conditions，and of course did so. But soon thereafter，Moses was again in woe，and was asked by the Lord what was the matter.

"Lord，" said Moses，"My house is falling apart and I can get no one to repair it : everyone is too busy enjoying himself."

"But what shall I do？" asked the Lord.

"Lord，make my people as they were before！"


성경엔 없는 모세 이야기．

모세는 그의 백성들이 헐벗고 굶주려 비탄에 빠져있다면서 그들에게 기쁨과 흡족함을 베풀어달라고 호소했다．

주께서는 사정이 좋아지게 해주마고 했고 물론 약속대로 해주셨다．

그런데 얼마 후 모세가 다시금 비탄에 빠져있는 걸 본 주께서는 웬 일이냐고 물었다．

"주여, 저의 집이 허물어져 가고 있는데도 손질해줄 사람이 없나이다．

다들 향락에 빠져 여념이 없나이다．"

"하면 어떻게 해달라는 것이냐？"하고 주께서 물었다．

"주여 저들을 예전상태로 되돌려 주옵소서！"
