One day a Pope and a lawyer died and went to heaven.

God came and said, "Follow me and I will give you rooms."

First God gave the Pope his room; it was very small with a small bed and a small desk.

"Thank you my lord," said Pope.

Then God gave the lawyer his room; it was a big room with a big bed and a pretty woman.

"Mr. God, why are you giving this room to me and the other one to the Pope?" the lawyer asked.

"Well, we get popes by the dozens, but you're our first lawyer."

교황과 변호사가 죽어서 천당에 갔다.

하나님이 다가오더니 "방을 줄 테니 따라와요"라고 했다.

교황에게 먼저 방이 배정되었는데 그것은 작은 침대와 작은 책상이 있는 아주 작은 방이었다.

"감사합니다 주님"하고 교황은 인사말을 했다.

다음으로 하나님은 변호사에게 큼직한 침대와 미녀가 있는 커다란 방을 배정해 줬다.

"하나님 저에게는 이 방을 주시면서 교황께는 저 방을 주시는 까닭이 뭡니까?"하고 변호사는 물었다.

"그야, 교황은 몇 십명이 와 있지만 변호사는 당신이 처음이라서..."
