One night cultural-anthropology instructor lectured monotonously on two primitive cultures for nearly three hours.

Faint snoring came from a student who was a new father.

The instructor asked him to describe some characteristic common to the cultures just discussed.

The young man thought for a moment and then replied, "The wives of neither send their husbands out at three a.m. to buy paper diapers."

어느날 밤 문화인류학 강사는 두 원시 문화에 관해 세 시간 가깝게 지루한 이야기를 늘어놓았다.

갓아이 아버지가 된 한 학생이 살짝 코를 골기 시작했다.

강사는 그 학생을 보고 방금 이야기한 두 문화의 공통점을 이야기해보라고 했다.

그 젊은이는 잠시 생각하고 나서 대답했다.

"그 어느 쪽 문화에서도 아내들이 새벽 세시에 남편에게 종이 기저귀를 사오라고 하는 일은 없습니다"
