[해외유머] '정치연설 <상>'

A seasoned politician was seeking election to the U.S. Senate.

The voters were predomi-nantly rural folks.

O ne of the campaign issues was a recently enacted law regulating
the shooting of deer.

The office seeker had investi gated this hotly-debated question
and found that one half of the voters javored the regula tion :
the other half were against it.

During the campaign the politician was making a speech on a wholly
different subject when a man stood up and called out :

"You''re talking about smart stuff, but we want to find out where
you stand on this deer-shooting business?"

유세때 그는 전혀 상관없는 문제를 가지고 이야기를 했는데 어떤 사람이
일어나더니 소리쳤다.

"당신은 그럴싸한 이야기만 하고있는데 우리가 궁금한건 사슴사냥에
대한 당신의 입장이란 말이오."
