Frightened by the meow of a cat the mouse ran into its hole.

What crossed the mind of the clever cat at that moment was the
idea of playing a trick on the mouse.

To lure the small thing out of its retreat, the cat mimicked a
barking dog.

The bowwow was so well done the mouse was led to believe that the
coast must be clear with a dog out there and ventured out fo the
hole-only to become an easy prey for the cat that was lying in wait.

Relishing the game, the cat told itself: "In the age of
globalization it sure pays to use a second language."

고양이소리에 질겁을 한 새앙쥐는 구멍으로 숨었다.

그순간 약삭빠른 고양이는 잔머리를 굴려봐야겠다는 생각이 들었다.

쥐를 굴로부터 낚아내기 위해 고양이는 개짖는 소리를 흉내냈다.

멍멍소리를 어찌나 잘 흉내냈던지 쥐는 개가 와있으니 고양이는 없겠거니
생각하고 굴에서 나와 기다리고 있던 고양이에게 쉽게 잡혀 버렸다.

새앙쥐를 맛있게 먹으면서 고양이는 "세계화시대엔 확실히 외국어가
쓸모가 있군"하고 혼자생각을 했다.
