After nearly ten years of remote rural living, the salesman was trans-ferred to a new place near a community rich in cultural traditions, which he and his wife found very appealing. Their enthusiasm was dampened, however, after a frustrating day of huose-hunting and coping with high real-estate price. Later, over dinner, they complained to the new supervisor about theexorbitant monthly payment on the house they selected, anticipatinga sympathetic reaction.
