[비즈니스 유머] 화가의 변

Our school hired a caricaturist for a PTA event, with the hope of raising additional money. The artist was doing well at $15 a drawing, until our school’s vice principal sat down to have his caricature done. His angular features and stern expression were captured perfectly in the hurried sketch which was handed to him. The vice principal studied it and scowled. “I don’t look like that!” he blurted out. The artist quickly replied, “Aren’t you glad?”

우리 학교는 사친회 행사를 하면서 돈이 좀 더 걷혔으면 하는 생각에서 만화가 한 사람을 불렀다. 그 사람은 그림 한 장에 15달러씩 받으면서 순조롭게 작업을 해나갔는데 부교장 차례에서 문제가 생겼다. 화가는 부교장의 뼈가 앙상한 얼굴이며 엄한 표정이 잘 잡힌 그림을 스케치해서 건네 줬다. 그것을 받아든 부교장은 얼굴을 찌푸렸다. “이건 내 얼굴이 아니잖아요!” 그러자 화가는 대뜸 응수했다. “그럼 잘된 게 아닌가요?”
