A man left his office one Friday afternoon． But， being pay-day， instead of going home， he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire pay check．

When he finally appeared at hopme， Sunday night， he was confronted by a very angry wife and was barraged for nearly two hours with sa tirade befitting his actions． Finally his wife stopped the nagging and simply said to him．

“How would you like it if you didn’t see me for two or three days？“ To which he replied， "That would be fine with me."

Monday went by and he didn’t see his wife． Tuseday and Wednesday came and went with the same results． But on Thursday, the swelling went down just enough where he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye．

사내는 금요일 오후 회사를 나섰다. 그런데 급료를 받은 그는 집엘 가지 않고 주말을 내내 동료들과 함께 즐기면서 받은 돈을 탕진해버렸다.

일요일 밤에야 집에 돌아오자 화가 머리끝까지 난 마누라가 그를 붙들고 두 시간 가깝게 닦달질을 했는데 그가 한 짓을 생각하면 마땅히 그럴 만도 했다.

마침내 잔소리를 끝나자 마누라는 “그래 이삼일 날 안 보니 어땠어요？”하고 묻는 것이었다.

“기분 좋았지 뭐”라고 그는 대답했다．

그리고는 마누라의 모습을 보지 못 한 채 월요일이 지나갔다．

화요일과 수요일도 그랬다. 그러다가 목요일에야 부기가 가라앉아 왼쪽 눈 한 쪽으로 마누라의 모습이 간신히 보였다．
