A husband was telling his friend that with the country in severerecession he had made up his mind to speak to his wife about usinga little more economy in the household. The next day when his friend saw him, however, he looked prettyglum. "What happened?" asked the friend. "Was your lecture effective?" "You bet it was," said the husband.
