After filling his gas tank at a small service station in Vermont, the driver handed the woman his credit card.

“Don’t take credit cards,” she said. As he reached for his cash the man asked, “Why not?”

“Don’t have a credit-card machine,” she answered.

“Oh,” the man said, “and why is that?”

“Cause,” she said with a shrug, “don’t take credit cards.”


버몬트주의 한 작은 주유소에서 차에 기름을 넣은 운전자가 주유소 여자에게 신용카드를 내밀었다.

“신용카드는 안 받아요”라고 여자는 말하는 것이었다.

남자는 현금을 챙기면서 “어째서 안 받는데요?”하고 물었다.
