As a traveling salesman and frequent flyer， my father has always been careful to mark his luggage so no one would mistakenly take his bags. Recently， he was surprised to see his bags grabbed by a well－dressed man.

My father pointed to the colored ribbons wrapped around the handle and the fluorescent tape along the sides. "Were your bags marked like this?" he asked.

"Actually，" the man replied， "I was wondering who did this to my luggage!"



출장을 다니는 세일즈맨이라 자주 비행기 여행을 하는 아버지는 그의 가방이 남들 것과 헷갈리지 않도록 세심하게 표시해 가지고 다니신다. 그런데 지난번 여행 땐 잘 차려입은 사람이 그의 가방을 집어드는 걸 보고 깜짝 놀랐다. 아버지는 손잡이에 묶인 컬러 리본과 가방 옆면에 붙은 형광테이프를 가리키면서 "댁의 가방이 이런 걸로 표시돼 있습니까？"하고 물었다. 그랬더니 그 사람은 "실은 누가 내 가방에다 이런 걸 붙여 놓았을까 궁금해하는 참입니다"라고 대답하는 것이었다.
