지난 연재에서 여러 번 소개하고 독자들이 이제는 충분히 습득하였을 것으로 믿는 문장의 기본 문형 및 구문을 결정하였다면，다음 차례는 세부적 표현들을 하나씩 채워나가야 한다.

하지만 막상 영어 표현을 채워나가려고 하면 개별 단어를 사용하여 표현하고자 하는 내용을 어떻게 사용하나 막막해 할 때가 많다.

그 이유는 개별 단어들을 합해 단일 표현으로 만들어 사용하는 데 익숙하지 않기 때문이다.

이런 경우에 영작문을 작성하는데 도움이 되는 것이 'Collocation' 이다.

'Collocation' 이란 두 개 이상의 단어들이 결합되어 완성되는 하나의 표현을 말하는 것이다.

영작문에 있어서 단순한 어휘력뿐만 아니라 두 개 이상의 단어들을 결합해 하나의 표현으로 사용하는 'Collocation'의 사용이 꼭 필요하다.

예를 들어，deliver a speech (연설을 하다)，early education (조기 교육)，hand down a tradition (전통을 물려주다) 등을 살펴 볼 수 있다.

개별 단어를 공부함으로써 어휘력을 높이는 것은 물론 영작문의 작성에 절대적으로 필요한 것이다.

더불어 개별의 단어를 결합하여 하나의 표현으로 이용하는 것은 고득점에 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

대부분의 사람들은 여가시간 없이 일만 한다는 것이 매우 나쁘다는 것을 알고 있다.

만약 우리가 게임을 즐기지 않는다면 이러한 모든 것을 배우는 것은 매우 느릴 것이다.

인생 역시 매우 지루할 것이다.
