My husband and I recently rented a video to watch with our two young sons. Much to our dismay， the movie was very violent， given its rating as one suitable for all－age viewers. We watched as two dragons played tug－of－war with a man， trying to tear him apart. Our three－year－old was upset for a slightly different reason. "Mama，" he scolded， "those dragons aren't sharing that man."


우리 부부는 최근에 어린 두 아들과 함께 볼 만한 비디오 하나를 빌려왔다. 그런데 무척 실망스러웠던 것이 그 영화는 모든 연령층에서 시청할 수 있는 것으로 등급이 매겨져 있었음에도 불구하고 그 내용이 너무 잔인한 것이었다. 용 두 마리가 사람 하나를 서로 차지하려고 물어뜯고 있는 것이었다. 세 살짜리 녀석도 그 장면을 보면서 못마땅해 했는데 우리하고는 좀 다른 이유에서였다. "엄마，저 용들 있잖아， 저 사람을 함께 나눠 먹어야 하는 거 아냐"라며 그는 나무라는 것이었다.
