I was out on a sales call when a gorgeous 20-year-old girl made a pass at me.


As a 47-year-old, overweight insurance agent and the father of four children, I was somewhat shaken aback.


But I managed to sidestep the advance politely.


I mulled over the experience all day, and decided that I had done the right thing.


I was totally convinced, however, when I asked my teen-age daughter what I should have done.


Without hesitation, she answered, "Faint, Dad, faint!"



세일즈에 나선 나에게 진득거린 것은 요염한 20세의 여자였다.


47세의 뚱보 보험회사원인 나는 네 아이의 아버지….


나는 적이 허를 찔렸다.


하지만 용케 그 유혹을 정중하게 뿌리쳤다.


그리고는 종일토록 그 일이 머리를 떠나지 않았는데 결국 내가 옳게 처신한 것으로 결론을 내렸다.


그런데 10대 딸에게 내가 어떻게 했어야 했느냐고 물었을 때 그 아이가 한 말은 내 확신을 아주 굳혀줬다.


그 아이는 단호하게 "기절하셨어야죠, 아빠!"라고 하는 것이었다.
