While serving in the army during the Korean War, an American officer was reassigned from combat to a training school in Seoul. He had a Korean orderly, whose newly acquired knowledge of English often produced results almost as frightening as life in the front lines. He would wake the officer each day by loudly whispering, "Captain, your time has come."

한국전쟁 때 육군에서 근무했던 한 미군장교가 일선에서 근무하다가 서울에 있는 교육대로 재배치되었다.

그에게는 시중들어주는 한국인 하우스보이가 있었는데 갓 배운 그의 영어는 이 장교로 하여금 일선에서 근무할적만큼이나 깜짝 깜짝 놀라게 하는 일이 종종 있었다.

그 하우스보이는 아침마다 "대위님(최후의) 시간이 됐습니다"라며 큰소리로 그를 깨우곤 한 것이다.
