[해외유머] '생산경쟁'

A wealthy economist had an urge to have grandchildren.

None of his two sons and two daughters had gratified his desire for a grand-child.

At the family gathering on Thanksgiving Day, he childed them gently to bless his old age with their progeny.

"Yesterday," he said, "I went to the bank and set up a $100,000 trust fund to be given tothe first grandchild that Ihave. Now we will all bow our heads while I say a prayer of thanks."

When he looked up, he and his wife were the only ones at the table.

"어제 은행에 가서 첫 손자에게 줄 10만달러를 기탁했다.

자아,다들 머리를 숙이고 감사기도를 드리자"

고개를 들어 보니 식탁에 앉아있는 것은 그들 부부뿐이었다.
