Two friends met after a rather long interval.

"You''re looking pretty down in the mouth since last I saw you. Are you ill?"

"Not exactly, but I''ll admit I''ve been worried of late. You remember I hired a man to trace my ancestry?"

"Yes," said the other.

"What''s the trouble? Hasn''t he been successful?"

"That''s just it-too successful-I''m having to pay him hush money."

"그런 건 아니지만 솔직히 말해서 근자에 걱정거리가 생겼다네. 내가 우리 집 족보를 캐려고 사람을 고용했던 것 기억할 테지?"

"그럼, 그런데 뭐가 문젠가? 제대로 알아내지 못한거야?"

"바로 그 점이 문제라네-너무 많이 알아냈지 뭔가. 이제 그 자에게 돈을 줘서 입을 틀어막아야 할 판이라네"
