A man and his girl friend were planning to get married.

"I think the first thing for us to do is to pick the date," the woman said.

"As a matter of fact," said the man, "we already have the date. It''s December 21."

"What''s so special about that date?" asked the bride-to-be.

"You see, December 21 is the shortest day of year-and has the longest night."

"그게 뭐 특별한 날인가요?"하고 신부가 될 여자가 물었다.

"있잖아요, 12월21일은 1년중 해가 가장 짧은 날, 그래서 밤이 가장 긴 말이거든"
