"A young lady lived in a house that had a large clock that struck the
hours and also once to mark the half hours.

One night she came home late from a date.

As she opened the door, she heard the clock strike once.

Half an hour later she heard it strike once again.

A half hour after that she heard it strike once again.

What time was it when she came in?"

"The young lady heard the last of the 12 strikes of midnight as she
opened the door. She came in at 12 P.M."

문을 열면서 땡소리를 한번 들었습니다.

30분이 지나서 다시 땡소리를 한번 들었습니다.

또 30분이 지나자 다시 땡소리가 한번 났습니다.

그녀가 돌아온 것은 몇시였습니까?"

"문을 열었을 때 그녀가 들은 것은 자정을 알리는 마지막 땡소리였습니다.
그러니까 자정에 귀가한 겁니다"
