One morning the night watchman told the president of the company
that he should not fly to New York that day.

He said, "Last night I had a dream that the plane to New York crashed
and all aboard were killed.

It''s a bad omen.

Take a train."

Instead of heeding the warning, the president took the plane to
New York.

It arrived safely.

When the president returned the first thing he did was to fire the
night watchman.

Why?

The night watchman should not have slept on the job.

어느날 아침 야경원은 사장을 보고 그날 뉴욕행 비행기는 타지 말라고 했다.

"간밤 꿈에 뉴욕행 비행기가 추락하여 탑승자 전원이 사망했습니다.

좋지 않은 징조입니다.

기차로 가십시오"라고 그는 말했다.

그의 경고를 무시하고 사장은 뉴욕행 비행기에 탔고 무사히 도착했다.

회사로 돌아오기가 무섭게 그는 야경원을 해고했다.

어째서?

야경원은 근무시간에 잠자서는 안되니까.
