[해외유머] '로렌스부인 <상>'

While Mrs. Lawrence was in town one Saturday afternoon, she saw
a car crash in an avenue; two cars ran into each other.

The drivers got out, and an argument between them.

But then a policeman arrived.

He asked the drivers what had happened.

And then he turned to the crowd which had collected round and said:

"Did anyone see the accident?"

Several people said they had, and Mrs. Lawrence was one of them.

어느 토요일 오후 거리에 나왔던 로렌스부인은 자동차 충돌사고를
목격했다.

두차가 서로 맞부딪친 것이다.

차에서 나온 두 운전사는 언쟁을 벌였다.

그런데 그때 경찰관이 나타났따.

그는 두 운전자들에게 영문을 물었다.

그들의 이야기를 듣고난 경찰관은 거리에 모여선 사람들을 향해 물었다.

"사고장면을 목격한 사람 누구 없어요?"

몇 사람인가 목격했다고 했는데 로렌스부인도 그중 한사람이었다.
