[해외유머] '손님은 왕'

The arrogant lady customer in the antique shop was obviously just
passing the time, making the owner dragout fragile old pieces and
then commenting on their poor quality and high prices.

After about an hour of this, she looked at her wathc and said
she must go.

"I suppose," she said, "that you think I''m a nuisance, just trying
to pretend that I know what I''m talking about."

The owner bowed graciously.

"If you say so, my dear lady," he said.

"In my shop, the customer is always right."

골동품가게에 들어온 거만한 여자손님은 주인에게 깨지기 쉬운 물건들을
끌어내게 해놓고는 물건을 흠잡으며 비싸다는 소리를 늘어놓는 품이
분명 시간이나 보낼 양인것 같았다.

한시간쯤을 그렇게 보내고 나서 그 여자는 시계를 보더지 가야겠다는
것이었다.

"공연이 아는 척하고 떠들어 대는 성가신 사람이라고 생각할테죠"

여자가 이렇게 말하자 주인은 점잖게 고개를 떨구면서 말했다.

"부인께서 그렇게 말씀하신다면 그렇겠죠. 저희 가게에선 손님말은
항상 지당하니까요"
